Jack Reacher fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief because the wait for the big man’s return is officially getting shorter. While we’ve all been busy watching Alan Ritchson dominate the screen in his latest projects, he just dropped a bombshell that has the entire fandom buzzing. During a fresh sit-down with Collider to hype up his upcoming Netflix flick War Machine, Ritchson couldn’t help but spill some major tea about the future of Reacher on Prime Video. He confirmed that Season 4 is not just a possibility—it’s locked, loaded, and heading our way in 2026. But it wasn’t just the confirmation that caught everyone’s attention; it was his claim to Collider that this is, by far, the best and bloodiest season the team has ever produced.

The energy around this new chapter is different this time, mostly because of how intense the production has been. Ritchson teased during the interview that the stunt team has packed around 30 massive fight sequences into just eight episodes. That is a staggering amount of action, even for a show known for its bone-crunching choreography. The actor even joked about his concern for “fight fatigue,” wondering if fans would be able to keep up with the sheer volume of takedowns he’s delivering. If you’ve seen the behind-the-scenes shots from the wrap party, Ritchson looks like he’s actually been through a war zone—covered in fake blood and bruises but wearing a massive grin that says it was all worth it.

This time around, the story is pulling from one of the most gripping books in Lee Child’s legendary series: Gone Tomorrow. If you’re familiar with the novel, you know this isn’t your typical small-town mystery. It kicks off on a late-night New York City subway where Reacher’s internal alarm bells go off. He spots a woman whose behavior screams “suicide bomber,” and within minutes, he’s sucked into a shadowy conspiracy that involves high-level cover-ups, old military grudges, and the kind of high-stakes tension that NYC provides so well. It’s a perfect setting for Reacher’s unique blend of “Sherlock Holmes-level” deduction and “Hulk-level” strength.

What makes 2026 even more special is the growing rumor of a “Double Reacher” year. Since the Maria Sten-led Neagley spinoff also wrapped filming recently, there is a very real chance that fans will get two doses of this universe in a single year. We’re looking at a potential schedule where the spinoff bridges the gap, followed by the main event of Season 4 later in the year. With Maria Sten returning as a series regular and a fresh cast of heavy hitters joining the fray, the scale of the show is clearly expanding. After the way Season 3 ended with Reacher riding off into the sunset, the open road has led him straight into his most dangerous challenge yet. The hype is officially real, and while we wait for that first trailer to drop, it’s clear that 2026 is going to belong to Jack Reacher.
